Some of his hit songs include ‘Dil Deewana’ from one of the biggest hits of 1989, Maine Pyar Kiya. It shows the charming old-fashioned side of Salman as he romances his heroine Bhagyashree. S. P. SP Balasubramanyam’s rendition of the hit ‘ Bahut Pyar Karte Hain’ was soulful. This song was from the 1991 movie Saajan that turned out to be the biggest hit of that year. Even though Salman’s movie Yuvraaj boasted of a stellar cast, it couldn’t garner much audience enthusiasm in 2008. This movie was touted as a musical story and did indeed deliver on its promise by some great songs composed by A.R.Rahman. ‘Tu Meri Dost Hai’ sung by Benny Dayal, Shreya Ghoshal and A.R. Rahman was one such beautiful song that was beautifully picturised.
