'' Along is a beautiful town comprised of small villages. It is located near the borders of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh on the banks of two Rivers Yomgo and Sipu, tributaries of River Siang. It is situated at an altitude of 619m from the sea level.
Along is also one of the old town of Arunachal Pradesh and is the headquarter of west Siang district. Set in a wide open valley where the Sipu river merges with Siyom against the backdrop of hills covered with snow during winters, it presents a panoramic view tot he delight of visitors. ''

Located in Arunachal Pradesh, Along is a little market town and is the headquarter of the West Siang district. Along is located around 150 km from Likabali, which is situated at the border of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. This little town is famous for its natural beauty and is surrounded by mountains and has two rivers running through it, the Sipu and Yomga.

Patum Bridge - The Patum Bridge is located on the Yomgo River. It is a cable bridge for vehicle transportation and a way for people to easily commute.

Air: The nearest airport to Along is at Lilabari, which is situated in the state of Assam. Lilabari is connected by flight services to Guwahati and Dibrugarh.

Rail: The closest railway station to Along is at Silapathar. This is a very small station and only one train stops here, which is the Arunachal Express.

Road: Along has a good road network and the road which runs from north Lakhimpur to the capital city of Itanagar, connects the town of Along to the city. Regular bus services to Along run from Itanagar.
