Safe investment option for an NRI to deploy lumpsum amount

I am an NRI residing in Qatar. I have savings of Rs 50 lakh in FD's. Further, I am not interested in putting this money in real estate. Kindly suggest where should I invest this lump sum amount for a reasonable returns without the fear of loosing the principal amount.
