Herbal Home Remedies For Cough

There are some steps for removing Cough

A cough may be a temporary ailment or a symptom of a more serious diease. If it is of the second kind, expert treatment is necessary.


Method:-


A dry cough can be effectively treated with the leaves of the plant adhatoda. Boil 3 or 4 leaves in one cup of water till the water is reduced to half. Take 60 ml of this decoction three times a day.


Adhatoda used along with ginger is also very effective in treating cough. Mix one teaspoonful of juice of Adhatoda leaves with half-a-teaspoonful of ginger-juice. Take this mixture thrice daily.


Drink the juice of the white radish (Raphanus sativus) mixed with honey three times a day.


For cough with mucous and phlegm, take 30 ml of decoction made from the leaves of Adhatoda thrice daily, mixed with some honey.


Grind the rhizome of sweet flag – Acorus calamus – in honey to prepare a paste. Take 15 ml of this paste twice a day.


Prepare a decoction of tulasi (Ocimum sanctum_ and Coleus aromaticus. Take this decoction mixed with a few drops of honey, thrice a day.


 Mix equal quantities of powdered ginger, pepper and long pepper – Piper longum – in honey. At intervals, take a small quantity of this paste in the mouth, slowly dissolve it in saliva and swallow.
